Georgian College is adding a unique degree-level program in business management and leadership next September.

The Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and Leadership allows students to learn close to home.

Currently, there is no other program with a focus on management and leadership being offered in the Ontario community college system.

Students will learn current issues as well as trends and technologies to prepare them to proactively identify and respond to changes in the business world. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills will be honed through class instruction, discussion and opportunities to put theoretical concepts into practice.

They will also be able to leverage resources at the Henry Bernick Entrepreneurship Centre and build on their innovation and leadership skills. Two co-op work components help them put their skills to work in real-world settings.

“Graduates of the Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and Leadership are trained to accept responsibility at a high level, think critically and innovatively, synthesize their learning to contribute to solving complex problems, and apply all these attributes to their professional development,” says Barb Watts, Associate Dean, Business and Management.

The program is offered at the Barrie Campus starting in September, 2016.
