NEWS RELEASE
GREEN PARTY CANDIDATE KEENAN AYLWIN

As of today, the only party-endorsed candidate in the race for Barrie—Springwater—Oro-Medonte, Keenan Aylwin is ready to represent the voters in the riding.

“People in Barrie—Springwater—Oro-Medonte deserve an MPP that will fight for their interests and for policies that work for people, rather than fighting to preserve their own public image,” said Aylwin, after Patrick Brown, the only other candidate in the riding, was kicked out of the PC caucus.

“Politics is enough of a mess today. While Patrick Brown and the PCs are arguing over whether Brown is in or out, we’re focussing on the issues that matter to everyday people. Our campaign is working toward real solutions to the issues facing our province and our riding. We must address the housing crisis here in Barrie – our shelter system is at ‘crisis capacity’ in this freezing weather.”

Local Green Party volunteers have been going door-to-door for months, collecting hundreds of signatures on a campaign to ‘Unlock Housing’, urging the Minister of Housing to take immediate, concrete steps to address the housing crisis facing this province.

“With the election less than 100 days away, we are the only campaign that is ready to win and ready to serve the people of Barrie—Springwater—Oro-Medonte,” added Aylwin.
