Innisfil has transformed from a rural community to a bedroom community, with 82% of our labour force leaving the community for employment. The Town aspires to continue the transformation and create an economy that better serve its residents. The Town seeks to transform the economy to make it more robust and well rounded to better serve its residents by increasing local employment opportunities and quality of life by reducing commuting requirements.

The days of large factories solving a community’s employment challenges are long gone. Over the past years, 87.7 per-cent of the net job growth in Ontario has been driven by small businesses, entrepreneurs and start-ups.

Innisfil is committed to supporting local and attracting regional and GTA based small business owners and entrepreneurs to increase the number of successful small businesses in our community.
