When a woman called police about an argument with her boyfriend she got more attention from police than she may have been expecting.

South Simcoe Police received a call from a resident in Innisfil on Saturday morning stating she had a verbal argument with her boyfriend and would like police to attend to speak with him.

Police arrived at the residence and spoke with the complainant.

The investigation revealed no assault had taken place but the complainant, a 30-year-old, had a warrant outstanding for her arrest for obstruct justice, fail to remain and dangerous driving.

Police arrested the female and released her on a promise to appear.

She has a court date in March.
