For Owen Street, we anticipate the water will be turned off between 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. and could be back on between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. if no issues arise during the work.

The work will be completed on Dunlop Street first followed by Owen Street. The work on Owen Street will be completed after the work on Dunlop Street is completed.

LOCATION: Dunlop Street East from 50 Dunlop Street East to Mulcaster Street and Owen Street from Collier Street to Dunlop Street East (Note: 51 to 59 Dunlop Street East are not affected by this shutdown )

The City of Barrie has scheduled a temporary shutdown of water service on the above-noted date(s) and time. This temporary shutdown is necessary for the City of Barrie Water Operations Branch to perform work on the watermain in your area in relation to the Dunlop Street East Corridor Improvements.

During the above times, water will not be available until work is complete. Upon restoration of water service, the water supply may be discoloured. Your cooperation in running the cold water tap in your tub (or a cold water faucet) for several minutes to clean out your water service is appreciated. We also ask that when the water supply has been restored, you check your water meter for any leaks.

NOTE: It is advisable to turn off equipment operated by water during this water interruption (i.e. water-cooled air conditioners, boilers, washing machines, dishwashers, water softeners by-pass, etc.).
