Dragon's Den audition tour returning to Barrie

Aspiring entrepreneurs invited to make their pitch
Dragon's Den

Dragon's Den is holding open auditions in Barrie on Saturday, Feb. 24 and hopefuls of all ages, with businesses at any stage of development, are welcome.

Entrepreneurs should prepare to pitch their concept to the Dragons’ Den producers in five minutes or less.

If the aspiring businessperson shows the producers they have what it takes to pitch in the Den, they could be invited to Toronto to face the Dragons.

While attendance at the audition tour is not mandatory, in order to better your chances on being selected to appear on the show, producers encourage you to come out and audition.

The CBC show provides aspiring entrepreneurs an opportunity to pitch their business ideas to a panel of wealthy Canadian business moguls - the Dragons.

Successful pitches will earn a chance for real investment - from the Dragons’ own pockets.

This is an opportunity for entrepreneurs and small business owners to come down and pitch their business concept, for the chance to appear on national television.

CBC wants to see as many people audition as possible.

Barrie entrepreneurs Jean and Blair Leggett entered the Dragons’ Den after their 2016 audition.

They are founders and owners of One More Story Games, a platform that turns narrative-driven stories written by emerging and established writers into online games.

Barrie auditions are Feb. 24 at Georgian College, 1 Georgian Drive in the M Building’s 1st floor main foyer from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
