Crash, diesel spill shut down northbound lanes of Hwy. 400 (3 photos)

OPP is hoping to have some lanes reopened between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.

A tractor trailer crash on Highway 400 forced the closure of the northbound lanes early Wednesday morning.

The single vehicle crash happened around 6:30 a.m. and details are still unknown as the investigation continues.

OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt told BarrieToday that all traffic is being diverted off the highway onto Dunlop Street because of debris and some diesel fuel spill that needed to be cleaned up.

Schmidt said there were no serious injuries and he was hoping to have at least some lanes open “somewhere between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.”
