This past October, hundreds of people laced up their hiking boots, dressed for the weather and ventured outdoors. They didn’t have to go as far as the Bruce Trail, though; Downtown Barrie’s October Tasting Trail offered all the excitement and adventure they needed!

The Downtown Barrie Business Association (BIA) would like to thank everyone who supported our incredible downtown businesses during the Dunlop Streetscape Project.

Because of the construction project, this year’s trail was a little more adventurous than usual. We thank everyone for their commitment to the event and their support for our businesses as well as Gilda’s Club.

On Wednesday, Nov. 6, Gilda’s Club of Simcoe Muskoka was presented with $1,000 raised directly from everyone who participated in this year’s October Tasting Trail. Gilda’s Club, an affiliate of the Cancer Support Community, is dedicated to providing support, education and hope to all people impacted by cancer.

Downtown Barrie’s October Tasting Trail is one of our Community Connects events. These events connect the local downtown community and its local businesses to local customers and local charities or organizations; a completely connected downtown.
