Prost! It’s time to roll out the barrels, slip on your lederhosen and get set for family fun and an Oompa-pa good time with fantastic activities and outdoor entertainment.
On Sept. 21, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Creemore Springs Biergarten in the Events Plaza is the center of the action with German-inspired food and drink served up by Rusty’s, live music, traditional dancers, fun and games, and much more. Actor and Producer, Christian Potenza, will emcee the event to add a little something special to the festivities.
Drink, dance and be German
It starts with the ceremonial tapping of the keg and just keeps rolling from there with The Black Forest Band, guaranteed to get you in the spirit. Then the Mladi Glas Planika Slovenian Dance Group gets up on their feet to showcase traditional dancing. The fun continues all afternoon with interactive activities like AXED Mobile Axe Throwing, games, and prizes!
There’s a whole village around the beer tent!
In addition to the main Biergarten, you can sample a variety of Oktoberfest-inspired fare and fresh Creemore pairings all day at Village festhall hot-spots Copper Blues, Firehall Pizza Co., and MJ Byrne’s Irish Pub.
Beer 101
Continue the celebrations with an edu-taining Beer 101 session at Oliver & Bonacini Café Grill! At 1 p.m. on Saturday, enjoy Chef Gerry’s German-inspired three-course menu with Creemore Springs beer pairings! Beer enthusiast, Christoph Stadtländer, will guide you through as you sip and savour each course and pairing! Tickets are limited (only $40, includes a stein)! Get your tickets online.
