Ken Robertson's criticism of our MP John Brassard seems to forget history and or ignores it. He has been fighting the carbon tax and the added costs to food and heat which are non-rebatable since the carbon tax's inception.

My "rebate" of 3,000 litres of fuel ran out June 1 because I have to drive to do the work of the government. I use 20 litres of fuel doing the government business daily for over 125 kilometres, 11 cents added costs times 20 litres a day equals 2.2 dollars a day in added taxes I am being charged from June 1 — 2.2 times 200 remaining days equals over $400 the greedy Liberals and NDP are taking off my dinner plate this year.

It gets worse, though. By 2030, my "rebate" is for 2,600 litres of fuel because it goes down every year. My "rebate" will run out May 1, 2030. Fifty-five cents carbon tax a litre times 20 litres a day equals 11 dollars a day in added tax I will have to pay from May 1, 2030. Eleven dollars a day times over 200 days of work left equals over $2,500 in added carbon tax I have to pay off my dinner table.

There is a saying: you can't fix a problem unless you know what it is. It seems like he doesn't know what it is.

By 2030, at these prices the carbon tax alone will represent over 20 per cent of the cost of fuel (not including other taxes and added costs for heat and it gets cold here I don't know who needs to know this or food which are not included), seems like the problem is greedy taxation and a greedy coalition government. Or as I call them, the guild of thieves.
