After reading the letter about the speed cameras on Anne Street, I had to share my thoughts.

1. Drivers should be thankful they received any warning ... if you don't speed you don't have anything to worry about.

2. There should be four cameras so that there is no escaping them, as all the three did was make everyone try to get into the lane that has no camera while still driving at excessive speed.

3. The city should make that area a 40 km/h zone 24/7 just like they did on Livingstone Street. I honestly don't know why they didn't do that years ago. All school zones should be reduced 24/7 in my opinion.

As a citizen living in the area, between the flashing lights, I have always driven 40 km/h as I never knew when they were flashing and the extra two minutes is not a big deal when it comes to the safety of everyone in the area.

I think the cameras are a step in the right direction.
