LETTER: Ability to choose MAID 'so important'

The following letter from reader Betty Taylor is in response to 'LETTER: People of 'sound mind' should be able to choose MAID' published Feb. 17.

I agree with the letter in today’s Barrie news.

Having a loved one sick is one thing. Having that loved one lie in a bed and die a slow, painful death is another thing.

Dying with dignity is so important. The person who is sick does not want family and friends to watch and see them struggling to stay alive. That is so important when no cure is available.

Having been through this, I know MAID is the answer for a lot of people.
