NEWS RELEASE
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY HURONIA
*****************************
Given the evolving situation with Coronavirus/Covid-19, Habitat for Humanity Huronia recognizes everyone has an active role to play. This is an update to let you know what our Habitat affiliate office and our two ReStores are doing to actively ‘flatten the curve’ of community spread.

Currently, Habitat Canada has created a COVID-19 Response Team to manage our planning and to monitor developments to determine how they will impact our operation. At this time, Habitat for Humanity Huronia has decided to do the following:
    •    Affiliate office is closed to the public until April 6. Affiliate team will be working remotely to continue serving families in our community.
    •    We are suspending all volunteer shifts and activities until April 6. We ask all volunteers to stay tuned to their emails and social media for ongoing updates.
    •    Our Kitchens to Homes program is suspended until April 6.
    •    Our two ReStores, Barrie and Alliston, are closed to the public until April 6.
    •    ReStores will not be accepting any donations until April 6.
    •    We are implementing the advice and guidance from local public health experts to maintain due diligence in our Health and Safety practices.

We will continue to monitor the situation and will provide updates as things change. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us. Our commitment and priority are to keep everyone safe.
