Downtown Barrie BIA cancels March board meeting

BIA constitution does not allow for teleconferencing and video meetings

The Downtown Barrie (BIA) Board of Directors would like to advise its membership that as a result of the City of Barrie and provincial declaration of a State of Emergency, as well as teleconferencing and video meetings not being covered in our Constitution as an acceptable way to conduct a board meeting, the March 2020 board meeting has been cancelled.

The regularly scheduled April 2020 board meeting remains scheduled at this time. 

While we will not be having the regular scheduled meeting, the Board of Directors and staff are hard at work reviewing COVID-19 response strategies and rolling out ways to assist you during this time. 

One of the things you can do in the meantime is complete this COVID-19 Downtown Barrie Business Impact Survey if you haven’t already, and share any feedback or ideas that you have with us.
