Barrie was lucky to have an incredible and well-attended two-day Christmas Market November 18 and 19, and luckier still to have one more shopping Event by Morey Made to round out the holiday season.

The 2023 Christmas Market at East Bayfield Community Centre, put on by local business Events by Morey Made, was a huge success for both shoppers and vendors alike. As one vendor said, “This is my sixth show with Paulette (Morey Made) and she is always looking after the best interests of the vendors. She advertises to the max and I would follow her to any event she managed.”

Other vendors were quick to chime in and agree. “With Paulette’s shows I have always exceeded my table price and more. I walk away smiling and can’t wait for the next show,” said a second vendor. A third vendor said, “I do like the atmosphere of Paulette’s shows and always have a great time.”

Shoppers and attendees at the Christmas Market also had a wonderful, magical time. With crafts and face painting for the kiddos, and delicious treats for all ages, the atmosphere was festive and Christmas magic was in the air.

One shopper commented ruefully, “I did spend a little too much…lol. Paulette’s shows always have a variety of vendors. She tries her best to not have many of the same products so everyone can have a great show.”

Another attendee added, “Paulette always goes above and beyond to have extra fun at her shows. Balloons, face painting, pictures, colouring etc. It’s fun for all ages!”

Lucky Barrie residents have one more chance in 2023 to enjoy the special atmosphere and amazing vendors of a holiday Event by Morey Made. “Shopping with Santa” is happening on Saturday December 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at East Bayfield Community Centre in Barrie. Admission is by a non-perishable food item or cash donation to Barrie Families Unite.

Paulette Morey explained, “Barrie Families Unite is a charity that is near and dear to my heart. It does so much for families in need in Barrie. I always want to give back at each of my events.”

Morey continued, “Of course, Santa will be at this event, and families can book ahead for a photo with Santa. There will be over 60 vendors at this event, a colouring contest for the kids, a silent auction, a gingerbread decorating contest, and a scavenger hunt. Oh, and a very special surprise guest will be making an appearance.”

Morey finished, “This will be a wonderful opportunity for some holiday fun and of course a great Christmas shopping experience. I hope to see everyone there!”
