ESSA TWP. - On Friday, June 26, 2020, at approximately 2:40 p.m., members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Essa Fire and Simcoe County Paramedic Services responded to a collision on County Road 10, between the 20th Side Road and Murphy Road, in Essa Township.
Officers arrived on scene to the single motor vehicle collision, which involved a motorcycle with one occupant.
The female driver was transported to a local area hospital with life-altering injuries, and then transported by air ambulance to a Toronto-area hospital.
OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are attending the scene to commence an investigation. A road closure will be in effect on County Road 10 between the 20th Side Road and 21st Side Road. Please avoid the area and expect delays.
The investigation is continuing, information will be released as it becomes available.
