A woman has been flown to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious injuries following a crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV on Wednesday afternoon in south-end Barrie.
The Barrie police traffic unit is investigating after officers responded to the call shortly after 2 p.m., at Big Bay Point Road at Yonge Street.
Simcoe County Paramedics supervisor Ryan Cresanto told BarrieToday the woman, who is in her mid-30s, was taken to a local hospital and then airlifted to a Toronto-area trauma centre.
The road was closed for the investigation until about 5 p.m.
