Police seized drugs, weapons and other items during a raid Wednesday at a Front Street address in Orillia.

Two Orillia residents are facing numerous charges after police seized drugs, guns and other weapons during a raid Wednesday.

In February, police began an investigation into drug trafficking in Orillia, leading to a search warrant being executed Wednesday at an address on Front Street.

Police seized a Mauser M15 .22-calibre rifle, .22-calibre and 12-gauge ammunition, prohibited weapons (taser, flick knives, nunchucks), crossbows with bolts, 422 grams of cocaine, 20 hydromorphone pills, scales, packaging and cutting products, body armour vests with police insignia on them, a ‘police’ badge, Support 81 clothing, and $2,300 in Canadian currency.

Donald Lee, 51, has been charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine and hydromorphone) and one count each of possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000, prohibited operation of a motor vehicle, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a prohibited device, failure to comply with a probation order, unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm, and breach of a firearms regulation.

Lee is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Susan Bazinet, 50, has been charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine and hydromorphone) and one count each of possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a prohibited device, unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless storage of a firearm, and breach of a firearms regulation.

Bazinet was released from custody and is set to appear in court in Orillia in May.
