VIDEO: Richmond Hill barbershop set ablaze by suspect

No injuries were reported in the fire early Wednesday in the shop at Yonge and Major Mackenzie

Police are investigating an arson early Wednesday at a barbershop in downtown Richmond Hill.

Emergency crews responded to a report of a fire at about 3:45 a.m. May 1 at the business at Yonge Street and Major Mackenzie Drive.  The front window had been broken and a fire set inside, York Regional Police said in news release.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze, and no injuries were reported.

Video shows a suspect in dark clothing throwing something through the glass door, entering the shop and starting the fire.
