Video captures second daylight shooting at Markham house

Similar incident occurred at same home on Solace Road in February at about the same time, York Regional Police say

Shots were fired at a home in Markham for the second time on March 8.

York Regional Police responded at about 3 p.m. to a residence on Solace Road after receiving a report of the sound of gunshots.

The home had been struck by “multiple bullets,” police said in a news release.

No one was injured.

A similar incident happened at the same home on Feb. 28, and suspects are still being sought.

In the latest incident, video surveillance showed a white, four-door sedan being driven into the area and parked on a street nearby. A suspect approached on foot and discharged a gun at the residence. The suspect returned to the vehicle and left the area.

The suspect is described as a dark-skinned male with a tall, thin build. He was wearing a hooded jacket, black jogging pants, and a black face mask. The suspect vehicle is a white, four-door sedan with dark windows and silver-spoked rims.
