Victim in weekend stabbing not co-operating with police

Man in his 50s taken to hospital Sunday night with non-life-threatening injuries following incident near Bayfield and Grove street

A Sunday night stabbing still has no suspect as police say they deal with an unco-operative victim.

The call came around 8 p.m. about a man in his 50s injured by what Barrie police communications co-ordinator Peter Leon called an “edged weapon.”

The incident occurred in the area of Bayfield and Grove streets.

“The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, but we are having a difficult time gathering information as they are being rather unhelpful at this time,” said Leon.

The investigation continues.
