INNISFIL - On Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 12:11 p.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers were called to an Innisfil home regarding an assault. A witness said one woman who wanted to leave her partner had been assaulted.
The suspect in that incident further reported that she had been assaulted by her partner's sister who was armed with a weapon.
A 25-year-old Innisfil woman, the partner, was charged with assault. She was transported to hospital for treatment and released.
A 25-year-old Alliston woman, the sister of the victim, was charged with assault with a weapon. Both accused were released on a Promise to Appear in Court.
