Two people allegedly leave Loblaws with cart full of items not paid for

The $950 worth of goods stolen included two cases of beer and various items from the health and beauty section

Barrie Police Service is looking to identify a male and female who thought it was acceptable to fill at shopping cart to the brim and walk out of the store without stopping to pay.

On Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 1:55 p.m. a male and female attended Loblaws located at 472 Bayfield Street, in the City of Barrie. They proceeded around the store filling up a grocery cart to almost overflowing capacity with various items including two cases of beer and miscellaneous items from the Health & Beauty section. 

The female exited the door first and waited outside for the male who pushed the cart full of items out of the store to meet the female in the parking lot. The loss prevention officer working ran after the pair catching up to them south of the store. 

The male attempted to present a receipt but once he realized the Loss Prevention Officer was not convinced, the two fled leaving the cart of stolen goods behind. The cart full is estimated to contain $950 worth in stolen items.

Description suspect #1:

  • Male, white
  • 5'10-6', medium build 
  • Short brown hair & clean shaven
  • Wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and black & white shoes

Description suspect #2:

  • Female, white 
  • 5'1" - 5"4,
  • Long brown hair worn in a ponytail
  • Wearing a pink ski jacket & purple ear muffs
