Two people charged with impaired after crashes in Innisfil, Bradford

Two people were charged with impaired driving following separate collisions last night in Bradford and Innisfil.

On Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021, at approximately 9:30 p.m., the South Simcoe Police Service was called to the intersection of Colborne Street and Holland Street East after a vehicle was rear-ended while stopped at a red light. There were no injuries. When police arrived, they spoke to the driver of the suspect vehicle and he was placed under arrest.

As a result of the investigation, 23-year-old Nicholas Jackman of Bradford was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired - excess blood alcohol.

On Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021, at approximately 11:30 p.m., the South Simcoe Police Service was called to a single-vehicle rollover on Lockhart Road near the 20th Sideroad in Innisfil. Police arrived on scene and located a vehicle on its roof in the south side ditch. The driver and lone occupant was located inside the vehicle. He was subsequently arrested for impaired driving and transported to hospital with minor injuries.

As a result of the investigation, 57-year-old Timothy Peterson of Innisfil was charged with operation while impaired and operation while impaired - excess blood alcohol.

Both accused drivers had their licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicles impounded for seven days.
