Two charged after series of business break-ins in Bradford, Innisfil

As part of the investigation, police located over $75,000 worth of stolen sunglasses

South Simcoe Police Service officers have been busy investigating a series of break and enters at local businesses.

The break and enters took place during the overnight hours between March 8, 2021 and March 17, 2021.

The accused persons targeted money, safes, and valuable articles. The break ins occurred at four Bradford businesses, and two south Innisfil businesses.

The South Simcoe Police Street Crime Unit has arrested and charged two individuals in relation to these criminal acts. The accused persons were stopped and arrested in a vehicle. Officers recognized the vehicle contained a large quantity of suspected stolen merchandise.

A search warrant was obtained to continue the search of the vehicle.

Upon completing a thorough search of the vehicle officers located over $75,000.00 worth of stolen sunglasses, $720.00 in cash, and various electronics and food.  

The arrested persons were found to possess illegal drugs on their person.

As a result of the investigation 43-year-old Justin Yates of Bradford, Ontario, and 33-year-old Erin Boore of Haliburton, Ontario, face multiple break, enter and theft charges, possession of stolen property charges, and controlled drug and substances act charges.  

Both parties will appear in Bradford Provincial Court in May 2021, to respond to the charges.
