On Nov. 17, 2017 at approximately 9 a.m., members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), assisted by members of the New Tecumseth Fire Department, responded to a report of a transport truck rollover on the 8th Line, just west of Beeton in the Town of New Tecumseth.
A truck loaded with sewage was travelling westbound through Beeton, when it decided to pull to the roadside, just west of town. As the truck slowed and pulled over, the gravel shoulder gave out and the truck rolled over into the ditch.
The 56-year-old male driver was transported by Simcoe County Paramedics to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The 8th Line is closed at Tottenham Road as well as Main Street W at Dayfoot Street in Beeton.
The road will be closed until crews conduct cleanup and a heavy tow removes the truck from the ditch.
An update will be provided once the roadway is cleared and reopened.
