Drug charges are pending against a man from the Greater Toronto Area after a traffic stop in Barrie led to the seizure of more than $12,000 worth of cocaine and fentanyl.
A Barrie police officer stopped the rented vehicle Friday afternoon as the driver entered the southbound lanes of Highway 400 from westbound on Dunlop Street.
In addition to the drugs, police say they also confiscated two cellphones and a "large amount" of cash.
Charges are pending against the 24-year-old suspect.
