NEWS RELEASE
BARRIE POLICE SERVICE
*************************
Barrie Police Service received a call shortly after 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018 from a male who was demanding police attend, issuing threats to dispatch if police did not show up immediately.

Once officers were on scene, they were met by the angry man outside his residence where he advised an argument between roommates had just occurred.

Officers spoke to all parties on scene and determined the male who made the call to police had instigated an argument over toilet paper and repetitively uttered threats of harm at one of the males who also resides there.

All parties on scene were frightened by the males aggressive behaviour and the threats issued over the trivial request to leave the toilet paper in the communal bathroom for all to use.

The 49-year-old Barrie man was charged with Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm and was held at the Barrie Police Service overnight to await a bail hearing Thursday morning.
