Teen assaulted by masked suspect at highway off-ramp in Bradford

A 16-year-old youth was charged after another teen was assaulted in Bradford.

On Wednesday, April 8, 2020, around 11 p.m., the 18-year-old victim was in his vehicle stopped at the intersection of Line 5 and the Highway 400 southbound off-ramp.  

A masked suspect exited a vehicle and damaged the victim's car before assaulting the victim.

The victim managed to drive away and called police.  

On Tuesday, April 14, 2020, the suspect turned himself in at the South Division. The Bradford youth was charged with Assault, Mischief Under $5,000 and Disguise with Intent. He was released with a future court date.

The accused cannot be identified due to provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The suspect and the victim were known to each other. The victim suffered minor injuries in the assault.
