Suspect arrested in Coldwater robbery investigation

Members of the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested a suspect in connection to a robbery in the Town of Coldwater.

On March 9, 2022, at approximately 8:45 p.m., officers received a call reporting a robbery in progress at a gas station on Coldwater Road in Coldwater. The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival. Officers attended, and subsequently located and arrested the suspect without incident.

As a result, Michael Ashbee, age 34, of Severn, has been arrested and charged with:

  • Adult robbery using firearm
  • Adult disguise with intent
