SPRINGWATER TWP. – On April 9, 2020, at approximately 11:27 a.m., the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Phelpston Road in Springwater Township.
Police attended and determined the driver to be (allegedly) under the influence of alcohol.
No injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
As a result of the investigation, Mark Skoruba, 69 years of age, of Springwater Township, Ont., was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code (CC) offences:
- CC 320.14(1)(a) - Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- CC 320.15(1) - Failure or refusal to comply with demand
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on September 15, 2020.
