INNISFIL/BRADFORD, ON - South Simcoe Police Service officers have made arrests following two break and enters at area businesses.
On Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019 at 8:20 a.m., police were called to a restaurant in Cookstown for a report of a break and enter. Once on scene, investigation revealed that an unknown suspect entered the business which is located in a plaza off Highway 89. The suspect left the scene with a quantity of cash.
On Sunday, Feb. 24, 2019, at 9:20 a.m., police were called to a restaurant on Holland Street West in Bradford regarding a break and enter. Investigation revealed an unknown suspect entered the business which is located in a stripmall and left the scene with a quantity of cash.
Following an investigation by uniformed and Street Crime Unit officers, a man and woman, both 39-years-old from Newmarket, are each charged with the following offences:
- Break and enter
- Theft Under $5,000 - two counts
- Possession of property obtained by crime - two counts
- Mischief - two counts
- Disguise with intent
- Possession break in instruments
