Sound equipment stolen, suspect caught on camera

The Barrie Police Service is appealing to the public for assistance after a theft was reported at a business located in the City of Barrie.

On Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019, police attended Leon’s Furniture located at 81 Bryne Dr. after it was determined that a LG 4.1 Channel 420 Watt Sound Bar, Model SJ4R, black in colour valued at almost $300 was stolen.

A review of the store’s video surveillance showed that the person responsible entered the store at 10:44 a.m. and made his way to the electronics department where the sound bar was removed and wrapped in a jacket he had been wearing.

The suspect is described as male white, with an athletic build, in his 20s with brown hair, wearing a white and blue Under Armour baseball hat, grey and black quilted jacket, blue jeans and white Adidas shoes.
