Severn woman faces impaired charges after Hwy. 11 crash

A Severn Township woman is facing impaired charges after an incident on Highway 11, Monday night.

Provincial police say a vehicle struck the guardrail on Highway 11, lost a wheel and crashed into a ditch at around 9:20 p.m., March 27, in Oro-Medonte Township.

Orillia OPP officers responded, arrested the driver and transported her to a neighbouring police service for further investigation.

A 35-year-old Severn Township woman is facing impaired driving charges and had her driver's licence automatically suspended for 90 days. The vehicle has been impounded for seven days.

She will face her charges at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orillia on May 2.
