Several people arrested in Collingwood, drugs and gun seized

Officers seized methamphetamine, suspected fentanyl as well as a pistol and ammunition and laid more than 30 charges

Collingwood and The Blue Mountains OPP were joined by the street crimes unit, Nottawasaga OPP crime unit, and OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit at an apartment building on Second Street where they arrested several parties and seized drugs and one firearm.

Collingwood OPP assisted by several other police units, arrested at least five people at a Second Street apartment building on the weekend. 

According to a news release, the Collingwoood and The Blue Mountains OPP Crime Unit with the Nottawasaga OPP Crime Unit and OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit executed a search warrant at the apartment building. 

The warrant was issued in connection to an armed robbery investigation that occurred in Centre Wellington Township. 

During the bust, which took place May 15, officers seized methamphetamine, suspected fentanyl as well as a pistol and ammunition and laid over thirty charges related to the possession of the firearm and possession and/or trafficking of controlled substances, according to the news release. 

Police released the names of five people charged including: 

  • Tyrese Alliman, 22, of Brampton 
  • Joshua Jerimiah, 26, of Mississauga
  • Madelyn Leitch, 23, of Collingwood
  • Pablo Obregon, 26, of Vaughan 
  • Deanne Thompson, 32, of Collingwood 

All were held for a bail hearing set to take place in Barrie.
