At approximately 8:30 a.m., Thursday, Bradford firefighters, Simcoe County paramedics and South Simcoe police were called to a serious collision at the intersection of 5 Side Road and Line 9 in Bradford West Gwillimbury.
Two vehicles had collided in the intersection, sending one rolling well into a farmer's field.
Emergency crews worked to extricate the driver of the BMW. He was transported to Southlake Hospital in Newmarket as a precaution.
The driver of the SUV was treated at the scene by paramedics. They were charged with failure to yield to traffic.
Police closed 5 Side Road temporarily north of Line 9 for vehicle removal and cleanup.
