The Barrie police traffic unit is investigating a collision involving a single vehicle and a pedestrian on Hurst Drive in the city's south end this afternoon.
Police received the call at 2:15 p.m. after a vehicle struck a male pedestrian on Hurst Drive.
The man was rushed to local hospital with what Barrie police communications co-ordinator Peter Leon called “serious injuries."
Hurst Drive is closed from Little Avenue to Cox Mill Road for the investigation. Leon said it will be closed indefinitely while the investigation continues.
