Ramara man in critical condition after being stabbed multiple times: OPP

Police believe incident on Logan Lane was isolated and there's no threat to public safety

RAMARA TWP. - On Monday, July 29, 2019, the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call for a serious assault in Ramara Township.

At approximately 2:20 a.m., officers responded to a call at a Logan Lane residence where a 23-year-old Ramara man was located badly injured.

The County of Simcoe Paramedic Services was on the scene tending to the male. 

The victim was transported to a Toronto-area hospital via Air Ornge where he remains in critical condition.

A preliminary investigation revealed the male was stabbed multiple times. Police are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this assault and are appealing for witnesses. If you have any information or were a witness to this assault please contact the Orillia OPP.

The Orillia OPP along with Orillia OPP Crime Unit and Central Region Forensic Identification Services continue to investigate this incident. This is believed to be an isolated incident and police do not feel there is a threat to public safety.
