Barrie police want to hear from teen missing for three months

City police say teen might be in Orillia or possibly Elmvale, so OPP have been put on alert as well

City police want to hear from a 15-year-old Barrie boy who’s now been missing from home for three months.

Police tweeted again Wednesday that they’d like to hear from Donovan Clement to make sure he’s safe.

Clement was last seen in downtown Barrie and has been missing since Sept. 16.

There’s a suggestion that he might be in Orillia or possibly Elmvale, so OPP have been put on alert as well, said Barrie police communications co-ordinator Peter Leon.

“It seems strange that we haven’t been able to track him down,” Leon told BarrieToday. “We’d like to be able to meet with him to make sure that he’s safe and healthy.

“We are encouraging him to reach out to us or anybody who knows his whereabouts to let us know," Leon added.

Clement is described as an Indigenous male, standing five-foot-nine and weighing 135 pounds with a thin build.

Anyone who has information on his whereabouts is asked to call police immediately at 705-725-7025 or by dial 911.

Calls can also be made to Crime Stoppers of Simcoe-Dufferin-Muskoka at 1-800-222-8477 for those who wish to remain anonymous.
