INNISFIL – South Simcoe Police Service officers are seeking the public's help to identify two suspects following a theft in Innisfil.

On the morning of April 7, 2020, a package delivered to the front porch of a home in the 25th Sideroad and Leslie Drive area was stolen by two suspects. Investigators are releasing security camera images of the suspects in an effort to identify them.

Suspect No. 1:  Female, white,  late 20's - early 30's, thin build, long, dark brown hair with mid part. She was wearing a purple nylon jacket and grey denim pants, black and white "Chuck Taylor" shoes. She was smoking a cigarette.

Suspect No. 2: Male, white, late 20's - early 30's, medium build with short, dark hair, black beard and moustache. He was wearing a brown baseball cap, light blue hooded, nylon jacket, blue denim pants and dark shoes. He was carrying small grocery bag and black gym bag.

Anyone who can help identify the suspects or has any information regarding this theft is asked to contact Det. Sgt. Michael Adams at 705-436-2141 extension #1013 or [email protected], or contact Crime Stoppers.

There are a number of things you can do to reduce the risk of having deliveries go missing:

  • Keep a designated package box or container on your porch that deliveries can be placed inside to keep them from being seen by potential thieves
  • Try to schedule deliveries for a time to ensure someone is there and available to accept them
  • If you will not be home to accept delivery, try to make arrangements to have packages dropped off with a neighbour
  • Ask the carrier to place the package in a place out of sight from the street
  • Install surveillance cameras at your front door
  • Request the delivery be held at the post office

If you see any suspicious activity on your street or in your neighourhood, call police.
