South Simcoe police are seeking witnesses and security-camera footage following a number of recent break-ins at super mailboxes in Bradford.

The break-ins occurred in the overnight hours from Tuesday to Thursday morning at three community mailboxes located in the 10 Sideroad and Line 6 area.

Numerous compartments were forced open and damaged, according to police. Officers are still trying to determine what, if anything, was taken.

Anyone with information on the Bradford incidents can contact Const. Mike Avelar at 905-775-3311, 705-436-2141, ext. 1422, [email protected] or contact Crime Stoppers.

On Tuesday, Barrie city police issued a similar warning about mailbox thefts.

Police say it's unknown if anything has been stolen, but with Christmas deliveries being made to the superboxes, they could be a prime target.

The public is asked to call 911 if they see any suspicious persons around community boxes.
