Body shops put on notice following hit-and-run in Alliston

Police say the dark grey sedan will have front end damage as a result of the collision

NEW TECUMSETH - Officers from the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a two motor vehicle collision that occurred on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020, at approximately 4:20 p.m. on Victoria Street West at Downey Avenue in Alliston.

The driver of one of the vehicles fled the scene, travelled westbound on Victoria St. W. and failed to report the collision.

The vehicle is described as a dark grey sedan and is expected to have front-end damage as a result of the collision.

Body shops or repair facilities that have had inquiries into having a vehicle repaired that matches the description of the suspect vehicle are asked to contact police.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Nottawasaga OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477). When you contact Crime Stoppers you remain anonymous, you will never have to testify and you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
