Police release images of Penetang armed robbery suspect

This suspect is wanted in relation to an armed robbery at a convenience store on Main Street in Penetanguishene on March 21.

Provincial police have released surveillance images showing the suspect involved in a recent armed robbery in Penetanguishene.

The incident happened March 21 at a Main Street convenience store. 

Shortly after 1 a.m., Southern Georgian Bay OPP say a male entered the business, brandished an edged weapon and demanded cash from an employee.

The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a white male, standing five-foot-nine with a medium build. He was wearing a blue hooded sweater, blue jeans, a medical mask and a black tuque. 

Anyone with information, or who has dash-cam or surveillance footage from the area of Main and Robert streets between 12:30 and 1:30 a.m., is asked to call OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Information can be provided anonymously to Crime stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or ontariocrimestoppers.ca.
