Police release image of stabbing suspect (update)

Police say the victim has now been interviewed and cooperated with investigators

BRADFORD - On Monday, Mar. 27, 2017, at 10:42 p.m., South Simcoe Police responded to the area of Holland Street West and Simcoe Road for the report of a stabbing.

Officers learned that the victim, a 26-year-old Bradford man, exited a restaurant at the corner when he was confronted by the suspect. It is believed that they have an ongoing disagreement.

A fight ensued during which the victim was stabbed in the chest. Both the victim and the suspect left the scene before police arrived. The victim was later located at his residence.

He was transported to hospital with non life threatening injuries. The victim has since been interviewed and co-operated with investigators.

Surveillance footage gathered from the area has produced a still photo of the suspect.
