PENETANGUISHENE, ON - Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Southern Georgian Bay detachment responded to a Penetanguishene residence at approximately 7:42 p.m. on May 21, 2019.
Officers arrived at the residence shortly after the OPP communications centre received a 911 call for a break and enter and assault with a weapon.
Police continue to investigate under the direction of the Southern Georgian Bay crime unit and officers remain at the scene.
At this time police have learned that two males were seen getting into a dark grey Nissan Altima or Maxima and leaving the scene.
Police believe this to be an isolated incident and feel there are no public safety concerns.
This is an ongoing investigation and updates will be provided as information becomes available.
