Police need help solving Range Rover mystery

Barrie Police are currently investigating an interesting case of identity fraud after the victim received a bill from the 407ETR for a vehicle she had never seen before.

On Sunday, Apr. 29, 2017 a female attended the Barrie Police Service to report she had received a bill for the 407ETR for a Range Rover with a license plate that were not hers. 

She had originally contacted Service Ontario to report the error, but was advised the plates and attached 2012 Range Rover had been both registered in her name since Friday, Mar. 31, 2017 after being purchased at a dealership located in Woodbridge.

The dealership was contacted and confirmed the female who purchased the vehicle did so with a valid driver’s license and proper identification.
