Police make traffic stop, find cocaine

Police say officers later found heroin, hydromorphone, cash and paraphernalia associated with drug trafficking

ORILLIA - On Friday, May 19, 2017 at approximately 4:30 a.m., officers from the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Street Crime Unit (SCU) arrested a man after initiating a traffic stop.

The incident occurred on Mississaga Street West, in the City of Orillia. The male was found to be in possession of cocaine.

A short time later, Orillia OPP Community Street Crime officers executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence on Davey Drive in Orillia.

The Central Region Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit assisted with the execution of the warrant. The execution of the search warrant was in relation to the arrest.

Police seized cocaine, heroin, hydromorphone, cash and paraphernalia associated with drug trafficking.

Bradley Colalillo, 31 years of Orillia has been charged with Possession of Cocaine, Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Hydromorphone, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Heroin for the Purpose of Trafficking, Unlawfully in a Dwelling House and Driving while Suspended.

He remains in custody, pending a bail hearing.
