Police look to identify Zehrs theft suspect

It is alleged the suspect he fled on foot after stealing over $500 of meat and seafood

Barrie Police Service is looking for the public's assistance in identifying a male after he fled on foot after stealing over $500 of meat and seafood.

On Friday, Feb. 9, 2018 just before 3 p.m., the Loss Prevention Officer (LPO) at Zehrs located at 11 Bryne Dr. in the City of Barrie, observed a male enter the store and immediately fill up a cart with meat, seafood and a few additional items. (It is alleged that) he then walked directly back to the exit making no attempt to pay for his full cart. The LPO approached the male who fled on foot through the parking lot.

Description:
    •    Male, white
    •    Scruffy facial hair
    •    Brownish hair
    •    Approximately 50 years old
    •    Wearing a baseball hat, blue jacket and green pants
