Police look to identify credit card fraud suspect

The Barrie Police Service is appealing to the public for assistance after a theft and fraudulent use of credit cards was reported in the City of Barrie.

On Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018, the victim in this occurrence reported to police that his wallet was taken from his unlocked motor vehicle the day before as it sat in the driveway of his Livingstone Street West home.

Earlier in the afternoon, an unknown person reportedly used credit and debit cards that were contained in the wallet and obtained a significant quantity of goods from the Ultramar Gas Bar located at 168 Dunlop St. W. in the City of Barrie.

The suspect, whose image was captured on video surveillance, is described as white male, medium build, mid-20s, shaggy brown hair, wearing black jeans, a blue Toronto Blue Jays hoodie and it is believed that he frequents the Dunlop Street area.

The Barrie Police Service is reminding the public to never leave valuables in your car and to always make sure that your car is always locked whenever it is parked; remember,  if you lock, it you won’t loose it.
