Police look for witnesses of hit-and-run in south end

Police report a victim was 'seriously injured' after being struck by a vehicle in a parking lot on Sunday night

At approximately 10 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9, Barrie Police received a call from a victim who had been struck by a vehicle that left the scene in the parking lot of 61 King St. in Barrie’s south end.

The victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre. A vehicle was seen in the area and was described at a dark, two-door older vehicle with two male occupants.

The investigation is ongoing, and investigators are asking the public who may have been in the area, or who may have surveillance footage from the area to reach out to police.
